Snow Blower

So I know this neighborhood where many of the people own snow blowers. These people will get out their snow blowers and do THEIR driveway and the sidewalk in front of THEIR house. Meanwhile their neighbors are out shoveling away, and other neighbors are too old to get out and shovel by themselves. But still the snow blowers stop right at the edge of the property. I mean heaven forbid they spend any extra time or gas helping out a neighbor.

Well I also know a woman in this neighborhood. She is a snow shovel not a snow blower kind of person. Since it snowed a lot in this neighborhood today, and the snow blowers did only THEIR stuff. She shoveled her own sidewalks, that of the elderly, and even that of the snow blowers since it had snowed more since they got off their lazy butts and pulled out the snow blower.

I wish I lived in a neighborhood where neighbors were actually neighborly. I wish I could go out and buy a snow blower just so I could snow blow the entire block, since other people won't.

I've seen it sometimes here too but we are fortunate to have a couple of fantastic neighbors. We are shovelers but our next door neighbor owns a snowblower and so does the elderly man a few houses down. More often than not, one or the other of these neighbors will take care of the entire sidewalk including ours. It is such a blessing and has saved us so much time and headache on so many occasions. If we owned a snowblower we would totally expend the extra "effort" to help out the neighborhood.

I love that there are people that will go out of the way to help others and I know that someday they will be blessed for the extra love that they give to others! I personally don't shovel or snow blow anything. i take care of the inside stuff and let the guys take care of the outside stuff!!

So just because I am curious, do you take your shovel and help those neighbors that can't do it for themselves??

A good reminder that we should all be better neighbors!

I really dont know anything about the snow situation, but it would be wonderful if neighbors would help each other out more.

I think sometimes people get so cought up in themselves they forget about the people around them.

It is really unfortunate!
