I know what you mean

I spent a lot of my day with Lilly today. That is a good thing, but I know what Marni means. Marni painted the bathroom today, so I got to play with Lilly to distract her so she wouldn't play in the paint. I wanted to do other stuff around the house while I watched Lilly, but she made sure I knew that was not going to happen. Marni always tells me how hard it is to get anything done around the house because Lilly does not like to be left alone, and alot of the time wants to be held. Don't get me wrong. I beleive Marni when she tells me this, Now I have experienced it. I love spending time with Lilly, I just have trouble coming up with new things to do when she gets bored with what we are doing. I guess I just need to be more creative.
Now I am being a slacker. I say that because Lilly is in bed, Marni is finishing up painting, and rather than helping Marni, or doing something else productive, I am here typing. I would like to help Marni but she is doing a really good job, and with the bathroom being small, I am afraid I would get in the way. I also know I could help out more around the house in General, but it is hard. Sometimes I know what needs to be done, I honestly just don't know what to do. Other times I think I use the excuse of Lilly hanging off my leg or not following me if I leave the room to not get things done. I guess I just need to buck up and be a better husband and help out more. Sorry I will try not to be such a slacker.
